At Insignia Graphics, we live in a world of constant fleet and commercial wraps. Being a full-service sign shop as well as a wrap shop, this fits the mold quite well. In wanting to re-wrap the shop truck, and Rick's personal daily driver/family vehicle, we decided to break from the norm that we usually are in and do an all out build. We started with having a 5" lift installed with new wheels and tires. From there, the entire truck with dismantled and prepped for wrap. The entire background design minus logo and lettering was all hand-laid with rolls upon rolls of Knifeless tape, creating the depth in the embossing with the hot rod flame designs using various colors of SW900 film. The logo and outline for lettering was installed into the background among the flames using MPI1105EZRS with DOL1060 laminate. The BLING was added to the truck using SW900 Radioactive green as the top layer. The top layer of the logo and bed side lettering was created using the same SW900 Radioactive with DOL1380 matte laminate. A full chrome delete was installed using ColorFlow Satin Fresh Spring on the bumpers, grille, headlight trim, door handles, mirrors, step bars and even the dual lid diamond plate tool box! The inner doors and interior trim panels were wrapped with the same Fresh Spring, being solvent printed on to create the "inferno" realistic flame design to play off the embossed flame design from the body of the truck. Many extra parts were wrapped in Radioactive as well, including full door jambs (being a first for our shop), drive shaft, torsion bars, lift brackets and ladder rack. For our shop, we wanted to show our customers what is not only possible with a wrap, but to think outside the box and go all out for once!
